AGREED DIVORCE WITHOUT CHILDREN UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE:

An agreed divorce occurs when both parties agree to all of the terms in the divorce.  The terms may include division of personal property, real estate, monetary assets, and debts.  Agreed divorces can be processed and ready for both parties to sign within 24 hours.

CONTESTED DIVORCE:

A contested divorce occurs when the parties cannot reach an agreement about one or more aspects of the terms of the divorce. Typically terms of a contested divorce could include division of real estate, division of personal property, alimony, custody of children and child support.  Tennessee requires the parties to attempt to settle their case by mediation prior to the final trial.  The judge will decide all remaining contested issues at the trial.

AGREED CUSTODY:

An agreed custody can occur only when both parties can agree to all of the terms in the case.  Typically the terms include a parenting time schedule, child support, and payments of medical insurance and expenses.

CONTESTED CUSTODY:

A contested custody case occurs when the parties cannot reach an agreement about one or more aspects of the terms of the case. Typically terms of a contested custody case would include a parenting time schedule, child support, and payments of medical insurance and expenses.  Tennessee requires the parties to attempt to settle their case by mediation before the final trial.  The judge will decide all remaining contested issues at the trial.

POWERS OF ATTORNEY:

A Power of Attorney is a legal document which appoints an individual, known as an "Attorney-in-Fact", to handle the affairs of the appointer in the instance that he is unavailable or unable to handle his own financial affairs or health decisions prior to death.

WILLS:

A will is a legal declaration by which the person names one or more individuals to manage his or her estate and provide for the transfer of property after death.

CONSULTATIONS:

Consultations are a good way for an individual to receive legal information without the full expense of attorney's fees.  Consultation sessions consist of a minimum of thirty minutes, at which time you can ask questions regarding your situation and Mr. Lytal can provide you with sound legal advice to help you make the right decisions regarding your specific circumstances.
