Scott L. Lytal is a native of Memphis Tennessee. He attended the University of Tennessee Martin, on a track scholarship, after which he attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville where he received a Bachelor of Science in 1972. He graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law with a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1976.
